Ingredients
- 8 oz Tempeh, cut in thin strips
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 Cup low sodium soy sauce
- 2 Tablespoons honey (or maple syrup if vegan)
- 3/4 Cup BBQ Sauce
- Coleslaw mix
- 4 Hamburger rolls
Directions
- In small pan, mix water, soy sauce and honey together and heat to simmer. Add tempeh and cook for 10 minutes.
- Drain and mix tempeh and BBQ sauce together in dish. Toss to ensure all tempeh is covered. Marinate for 30 minutes to a couple hours.
- Heat medium skillet and spray with cooking spray or a bit of olive oil. Add tempeh and cook until bubbly and hot, 5ish minutes.
- Serve on rolls with slaw.
