Baked Tofu

Directions

  1. Drain and press for an hour 
  2. Mix marinade using immersion blender. 
  3. Cut tofu into ¼ wide pieces, about 12 per block.
  4. Mix tofu into marinade for 2-8 hours in large baking dish.
  5. Heat oven to 450 and grease a rimmed baking sheet
  6. Bake 15 minutes, flip and spoon marinate. Bake 10 more minutes, flip and add marinade again.
  7. Once it’s a little burned on the edges, pull out and let sit for a few minutes to firm up then cut. 

Ginger-Sesame Marinade

  • ¼ C Soy Sauce
  • ¼ C Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 2 T Lime Juice
  • 2 T brown sugar
  • 1 t ginger (or 1 T fresh)
  • 2 t sesame oil
  • 2 t hot sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic

Smoky Maple Marinade

  • ¼ C Soy Sauce
  • ¼ C veg Stock
  • 2 T maple syrup
  • 2 t liquid smoke
  • 1 T lemon juice
  • 1 T Tomato Paste
  • 1 T Olive Oil
  • 2 Cloves Garlic
