Pancakes

Ingredients 

  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
    • If you have buttermilk use 3/4 cup buttermilk in place of milk and vinegar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour  
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar   
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder 
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted  
  •   Cooking spray

Directions

  1. Combine milk with vinegar, set aside for 5 minutes. (This is a way to fake buttermilk, expect it to look curdled. Buttermilk is always superior, so use if you have it.)
  2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Whisk egg into milk and combine with dry ingredients. Whisk until lumps are mostly gone. Add in butter at end. 
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat, use cooking spray and cook those pancakes!
