Roasted Brussel Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 1 pound brussel sprouts

  • 3+ Tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 Tablespoon kosher salt (or to taste)

  • Fresh ground pepper to taste

  • Garlic powder (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat over to 415

  2. Wash sprouts and cut off stem. You can cut in half to reduce cooking time by a bit if you prefer.

  3. Toss in bowl with oil, salt pepper and garlic powder.

  4. Spread out on cookie sheet, cook for 45 minutes, removing every 15 minutes to stir and check doneness.

  5. Brussel sprouts should be blackened on outside but not so cooked that they shrivel up. If you can cut through it with a butter knife they are done.

Notes

Garlic powder is my preference because the high heat tends to blacken chopped garlic and Iā€™m not a fan of that flavor.
